Cruel Summer Album Review

The much awaited & anticipated Album has been dropped! IB people “Cruel Summer” is here!

Its a good album which features exceptional beat productions overall, tracks like “Higher”, “Creepers”, and “Sin City” stand out thus far. “The Morning” feat Raekwon, Pusha T, Common, 2 Chainz, CyHi Da Prynce, Kid Cudi & D’Banj vocally exhibited a level of good rap I expected for this album! Raekwon showed that he is still in the game, coming up with hard punch lines!
Track #12 “Don’t Like” (Remix) featuring Kanye West, Chief Keef, Pusha T, Big Sean & Jadakiss is a great track, Big Sean, Pusha T, Jadakiss and Kanye West had signature bars they all gave great flows!

Listening to the album I can’t help but wonder what the album concept is for “Cruel Summer”, it greatly lacks focus.

My sentiments, “Clique”, “New God Flow” and “Cold” as singles built the hopes too high for me, they raised the bar too high! I highly anticipated a classic album and it fell short. The G.O.O.D. Music Clique is more than capable of putting together an Album better than “Cruel Summer”!

That said “Cruel Summer” is still a good album earning 4 mics based on I.B album ratings.
